We fight for your toilet rights. Remember PHLUSH at year’s end.

December 27, 2017

Have you ever needed “to go” but couldn’t find a public toilet? Yes? Well, we’re working to fix that. We help local governments figure out how to build cost effective public restrooms that provide maximum function in minimum space and are safe, accessible, available, attractive and easy to maintain.

Have you felt unsafe in a men’s room or a woman’s room because your gender doesn’t conform to others’ expectations? If so, we’re fighting for safe, comfortable facilities with private all-user stalls.

Are you a resident of coastal Oregon, Washington or British Columbia preparing for the pipe-destroying Big One and your inability to flush? Yes? Then we can help you and your county, state or provincial emergency management department select a container based system that will protect the health of you and your environment.

Have you already experienced a flood or storm that disabled your sewer infrastructure?   So you couldn’t flush and risked fecal contamination and disease? If so, we’re studying the vulnerabilities in our toilet systems so we can rethink always using precious drinking water to flush and advocate for more resilient infrastructure.

Public Hygiene Lets Us Stay Human. This is the WHY that informs the HOW and WHAT of everything we do.  Everybody poops and everyone pees. But only PHLUSH breaks through the taboos to engage communities in addressing these universal needs. Please have a look at our Annual Report.  Then consider supporting the human right to a toilet with your dollars, your time or your voice on Twitter or Facebook.New PHLUSH logo
